Alessandra Lanvin's footwear label, APERLAI, was conceived for sophisticated and confident women with discerning eyes, who recognize and appreciate Italian craftsmanship, graphic design, and technical details for comfort, with a touch of folie à la française leitmotif. Born in Milan and having traveled most of her life, Alessandra is deeply influenced by the places she has lived: Milan, Paris, London, New York, and Switzerland. Equally important is her passion for modern and contemporary art (she holds a degree in History of Art). In 2010, Alessandra launched her luxury shoe line, APERLAI. Almost immediately, the Paris-based and Italian-made atelier garnered numerous accolades. She was named by WWD as one of the fastest rising stars in the luxury market, and her designs are part of the permanent collections of the Museum at the Fashion Institute of Technology and Brooklyn Museum of New York since 2012. Presently, Alessandra lives in Paris with her husband, Hubert Lanvin, the grandson of Jeanne Lanvin, the founder of the Couture label in 1909, and their son, Victor.
